Cookie policy
The cookies SalesOpsClub sets, what each one does, and how long it lasts.
This text describes how the site actually works. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before it is relied on.
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. SalesOpsClub uses two of its own cookies, both tied to the free resource library, and Google Analytics sets its own analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
SalesOpsClub maintains a sales software directory covering tools across every major category, alongside a sales ops glossary that defines the terminology sales and RevOps teams use daily. Cookies we set
- soc_unlock: set when you submit the resource library form. It remembers that you have unlocked the library so you are not asked to fill the form again for each template, and links later downloads to your form record. It contains a random record ID and a timestamp, signed so it cannot be forged; it does not contain your name or email. It cannot be read by page scripts (httpOnly). Lasts 90 days.
- soc_utm: set when you arrive on any page from a link carrying UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content). It stores those values so that, if you later download a template, we can see which campaign brought you. It is only set when UTM parameters are present, and the first campaign is kept. Lasts 90 days.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-Q5F9XXCVGM) to count visits, see which pages are read, and record when someone requests a template. Google sets:
- _ga: distinguishes one browser from another. Lasts 2 years.
- _ga_Q5F9XXCVGM: keeps session state for this site's analytics property. Lasts 2 years.
Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block these cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on without affecting the rest of the site.
Other storage
Signed download links in the resource library carry a token in the URL instead of a cookie, so downloads work even when cookies are blocked: the link we email you is valid for 7 days, and the download links it leads to are valid for 15 minutes. We do not use local storage to track you.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking soc_unlock means you will be asked to fill the form again for each template; blocking soc_utm or the Google Analytics cookies has no effect on how the site works.
