Privacy policy

What personal data SalesOpsClub collects, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and how to have it deleted.

This text describes how the site actually works. It is not legal advice and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before it is relied on.

SalesOpsClub (salesopsclub.com) is published by North Radar Media ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the personal data described here. You can read most of the site without giving us any personal data. We collect personal data in two places: when you fill in the form to get a free template from the resource library, and through the analytics described below.

SalesOpsClub maintains a sales software directory covering tools across every major category, alongside a sales ops glossary that defines the terminology sales and RevOps teams use daily. For in-depth analysis, our sales operations blog publishes buyer guides and research articles, while the head-to-head comparison pages help teams weigh specific tools against each other. You can also browse all software categories to find the right fit for your workflow.

Resource library form

To download a template you give us:

  • your name
  • your work email address
  • your company
  • your role
  • whether you agreed to the Terms and this policy (required), and whether you asked to receive new templates and research by email (optional, unticked by default)

We check that your email domain can receive mail (a DNS lookup of the domain's mail records). We email you the download link using Resend (our email delivery provider), and add your address to our mailing list only if you opted in; if you didn't, it is stored as unsubscribed. The emailed link works for 7 days. If email delivery is briefly unavailable, the download links are shown on the page instead.

Contact form

If you send us a message through the Contact page you give us your name, your email address, optionally your company, a topic, and your message. We record the same technical data as the resource form (IP address and its hash, approximate location, user agent). We use it only to reply to and act on your message, including corrections and privacy requests; basis: the request you made. Contact messages are kept for 24 months and then deleted, unless they relate to an open privacy request.

Technical data recorded with the form

When you submit the form we also record:

  • Your IP address, stored in two forms: the raw address, and a one-way salted hash of it. The hash is used for rate limiting and to spot duplicate or abusive submissions.
  • Approximate location (city and country) derived from your IP address by our hosting and CDN provider. We do not use precise location.
  • Your browser's user agent (browser and operating system).
  • Where you came from: the page's referrer and any UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) on the link that brought you to the site.
  • The template you requested and when.

Each time you download a template (PDF, CSV, or the web view), we log a download event: the template, the format, whether access came from the form or the unlock cookie, a timestamp, the hashed IP, country, user agent, referrer, UTM parameters, and a link to your form record. The download log does not store your raw IP address.

Why we use it and on what basis

  • Delivering the template and remembering you have unlocked the library. Basis: your agreement when you submit the form (performance of the request you made).
  • Sending you new templates and research by email, only if you ticked the optional box. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Understanding which templates and pages are useful (download counts, campaign attribution, country-level reporting). Basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site.
  • Preventing spam, fraud, and abuse of the form and download links, including rate limiting by hashed IP and investigating disputed or fake submissions. Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

How long we keep it

  • Raw IP addresses are deleted automatically 12 months after the form submission. The salted hash is kept so rate limiting and duplicate detection keep working.
  • Form records (name, email, company, role, consent choices, and the technical data above) are kept while the resource library operates, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Download events are kept for reporting. If your form record is deleted, the link from each download event to you is removed, so the remaining counts no longer identify you.
  • If our database is briefly unavailable, a submission may be held in a temporary backup file on our server until it can be saved normally.

Who we share it with

  • North Radar Media network hub. North Radar Media runs a small group of research sites. When the network hub is enabled, a copy of your form record (the fields listed above, including IP data and consent choices) is sent to North Radar Media's central database so the same person is not counted twice across sites and consent and unsubscribe choices apply across them. The hub is operated by the same company and applies the same 12-month raw-IP deletion.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf: our database provider (Supabase), our email delivery provider (Resend), our web hosting provider, and Google Analytics (see below). They may only use the data to provide their service to us. We email you the download link using Resend, and add your address to our mailing list (also held in Resend) only if you opted in; if you didn't, it is stored there as unsubscribed so it never receives mailings.
  • Legal requests: we disclose data if the law requires it.

Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and page views, and it sets its own cookies. The resource library sets a 90-day unlock cookie after you submit the form, and a 90-day cookie that remembers the campaign (UTM) parameters you arrived with. Your rights and how to use them

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time.

  • To unsubscribe from template and research emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email or tell us through the Contact page. We mark your record as unsubscribed.
  • To access or delete your data, send a request through the Contact page from, or naming, the email address you used on the form. We delete the form record here and ask the network hub to delete its copy, and we respond within one month.

If you are in the EU or UK and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Form records are stored in a database that is not publicly readable or writable; only the site's server can access it. Download links are signed and expire after 15 minutes, and the unlock cookie is signed and cannot be read by page scripts. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.

Children

SalesOpsClub is a business research site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

When we change what we collect or why, we update this page and the date at the top. Material changes that affect data you already gave us will not apply to that data without your consent where the law requires it.
